Everyone has different travel goals and the credit cards you sign up for need to be specific to reaching those goals. I always suggest that new hobbiest shoot me an email to get specific recommendations before signing up for a new card. But in general, these are the top 5 credit card deals (in my opinion) currently being offered:

sapphire_preferred_card1. Chase Sapphire Preferred

Earn 50,000 bonus points when you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. That’s $625 in travel when you redeem through Chase Ultimate Rewards®. You will earn another 5,000 bonus points after you add the first authorized user and make a purchase within the first 3 months of account opening. This card was named a ‘Best Credit Card’ for Travel Rewards by MONEY Magazine and is one of my favorite cards because you earn 2x points on travel and dining at restaurants and 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases. There are no foreign transaction fees when using this card abroad and it is chip-enabled for enhanced security and wider acceptance when used at a chip card reader. This card comes with an Introductory annual fee of $0 the first year, then $95 annually.

SPG Credit Card3. American Express SPG Card *Limited Time Offer*

The publicly available offer for this card is normally 25,000 points but it is currently at an all time high of 35,000 points until 4/5/2017. Earn 25,000 SPG points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months. Then earn another 10,000 SPG points after you spend an additional $2,000 in the first 6 months. Earn 2 points per $1 spent at Starwood Hotels. Earn 1 point per $1 on all other purchases. There are no foreign transaction fees when using this card abroad. This card comes with an Introductory annual fee of $0 the first year, then $95 annually. Read more about this offer HERE!

4. Barclay Arrival +

Earn 50,000 bonus miles after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 90 days — that’s enough for $560 in free travel! Earn 2X miles per $1 spent on all purchases. Redeem for statement credits on travel purchases. Any time you redeem your miles you will get 5% of them back to use toward your next redemption. This is a very flexible card for redeeming travel purchases.

5. Depends On Your Goals

There are so many different credit cards out there. Some are great choices for certain people and  terrible choices for others. I always recommend shooting me an email to chat about your specific goals and financial lifestyle so that we can best match the right card to you.
